Legacy Diesel Repair was founded on a simple idea: treat every truck like it’s part of the family fleet. Opened in 2025 by husband-and-wife team Juan and Joanna Hernandez, our Odessa shop was born from years of keeping a family trucking operation moving—repairing trucks, solving problems quickly, and doing the job right.

Joanna grew up around the trade. Her dad has spent years as an independent mechanic, and that hands-on, self-reliant mindset is the foundation of our shop today. He owns Legacy Diesel Repair, and with Juan and a cousin working on the tools, our team fosters a true family atmosphere—steady, detail-oriented, and accountable.

Coolant system problems can be tricky, and ignoring them can lead to a small leak that causes overheating and significant engine damage. We are prepared to diagnose and fix common cooling system issues, including coolant leaks, failing water pumps, thermostat issues, radiator blockages, and fan-clutch problems. A modern cooling system works by removing heat from the engine through coolant flow and airflow across the radiator—when one part fails, the entire system can’t protect the engine as it should.

We have three service bays and four technicians on staff, so we’re equipped to handle steady workflow without sacrificing attention to detail. We also offer mobile service within a 75-mile radius, supporting fleets and owner-operators who can’t afford to waste time traveling to a shop.
